Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains what personal data Nap Stack collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Dutch privacy law.
Who we are
Nap Stack is operated by Rachel Elz Studios (handelsnaam), a sole proprietorship registered in the Netherlands. VAT number: NL004940031B35. Contact: [email protected]. The data controller for personal data processed via nap-stack.com is Rachel Elz.
What data we collect
- Email address — only when you voluntarily submit our newsletter or quiz form. Used to send the requested content and optional follow-up emails about Nap Stack.
- Quiz answers — submitted to give you a personalized recommendation. Stored anonymously unless you also submit your email.
- Usage data — pages visited, referrer, country, anonymized device and browser type. Collected via Cloudflare Web Analytics (cookieless, IP-anonymized) and the Meta Pixel.
- Purchase data — if you buy a product, Gumroad collects and processes your name, email, billing address and payment details directly. We receive only the order confirmation and your email.
Why we process it (lawful basis)
- Consent — for newsletter signup, quiz follow-ups, and the Meta Pixel.
- Performance of a contract — to deliver products you have purchased.
- Legitimate interest — to keep the website secure, measure aggregate traffic, and improve content.
- Legal obligation — to retain invoicing records as required by Dutch tax law.
Who we share it with
We use the following processors. Each handles your data only on our instructions and under their own privacy policies:
- Cloudflare — hosting, security, anonymized analytics.
- Kit (kit.com) — email delivery and list management.
- Gumroad — payments, checkout, product delivery.
- Meta Platforms (Facebook/Instagram) — advertising measurement via the Meta Pixel.
Some of these providers are based in the United States. Transfers rely on EU-approved Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Cookies and tracking
We use the Meta Pixel to measure ad performance. The Pixel sets cookies that help Meta attribute conversions to ads you may have seen. You can opt out of personalized advertising via your Meta ad preferences. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless.
How long we keep it
- Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe (one-click link in every email).
- Purchase / invoicing records: 7 years (Dutch tax law).
- Anonymous analytics: up to 6 months in aggregated form.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request: access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, and withdrawal of consent at any time. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Children
Nap Stack is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change this policy we will update the “last updated” date at the top and, where appropriate, notify subscribers by email.
